kicker only recomends sealed box 4 solo classics??

I have two solo classic 12s in a sealed box currently in my car.. I wanted to build a ported box for them but kicker states it only recomends small sealed enclosure. So my question is can I port these subs without them sounding like ***??

The solo classics were specifically engineered for sealed boxes. The sub's mechanicals and soft parts were just made that way. Just as the Fi BTL and RE SX subs were designed for sole use in ported, the solo classic is for sealed use only. I wouldn't want to try and force it's suspension and soft parts to handle a ported setup...

Yep, the soft suspension needs a sealed box
