I dont understand why you guys are making such a huge deal about it. Its merely a marketing ploy, some 16 year old kid goes to their local walmart and picks up a CVR or whatever and then wants more... well walmart doesn't carry the larger stuff... so they have to go to a local dealer or online... Bam, Product sold. Those of you saying that Kicker is garbage, you are out of your ******* mind.

What's going to happen is more disrespectful kids having more junk to annoy everybody and make the noise laws more enforced.

lol i wish theres no noise ordinace in my city i live in hutto texas a small town outside the capitol of austin . fng kids bassing through neighborhood and making all kinda noise lol . i slam my system when im not in neighborhoods so its only bad unitl you dont have a noise law

Kicker will fit right in with the rest of the garbage. They haven't made an quality products since the mid 90's. The old solo barics were nice subs and the amps were good then as well. All the newer stuff *****.

Comp, cvr, cvx= solid budget bump. Solo Barics= complete garbage, I'm yet to see an L7 install that didn't involve a voice coil eventually burning up, plus they sound like shet,

Solo X= very loud, no sq period. Bit pricey. All in all kicker subs are not good at all. Their amps on the other hand, are top notch.

And an @ss ton of power. I've only heard 2 X installs, one sounded decent at best but was very loud, the other was a complete fail.

The X's could shine they just fall into the wrong hands because of the kicker name.

If I was ever to go kicker again, I'd get the Solo-X 18 for sure.

That can be said about anything. Sundown is one of the worst now. I've been around a ton of failed Sundown installs. People think all they have to do is get SAs and they will be great cause so many people do great things with them.
