Ok ive had two different boxes for my 2 12s....The first was ported and I know the subs arent really known for sq but they would pound just sounded like garbage. I just got through buildin another box and its sealed probably around 6 cu ft, well I was happier and expected it to have better sq and it did but it just wont get as loud and im not suprised.....i can turn the gains up and it will still beat sorta hard u can just tell the difference between the 2 boxes. So I wanna ask ya'll do you think i should design another ported box or what? I want to have sq and it not sound terrible but I want it to beat too. If you need any other info then ask, thanks!

hey man, what was the first box and what was it tuned too?

you should go ported with those l7s if you want to get loud try building another ported box to kicker specs or have someone on the forums build you one. with the right power those l7s should get louddd.

About 2.5 per sub but it was designed odd and I think thats what killed it, tomorrow im making that sealed box ported.

Just make a new box. My box is tuned to 35hz and has 4.1cubic ft (each chamber) and IMO they sound fine. They don't pick up the lows that well but thats obviously do to the box.

yeah just rebuild the box and you should be just fine tune it to 32 hz and you will be good

i have 6 cubes to 33 hz for my l7's. wang pretty good for only 500 watts going to each of them
