I have a Kicker L7, Tuned to 34, 5 cubes heres where it sits in my trunk as we speak:

My question is... does where the sub facing really matter in how loud it is? Right now the port and the sub they are facing the side of the car... not torwards the backseats, nor torward the opening of the trunk. I have heard you can gain like 5 DB's and shit from the way you place your sub, and I have seen that if you place it upward you get better flex from the top of your car??...I dont know if these are myths you all are the experts.

1. I would like to know the loudest place for my sub to face. Im going to build a better box(construction and so it fits better) later on in the future sometime and I would like make this as loud as possible. By the way the sub is not touching the foam baffle anymore, that was just an old pic.

It depends on the vehicle. In trunk cars, I have seen sub back and port back get pretty loud. Sub back and port to the side also works well in many trunk cars. Sub up port back will work in a trunk but will usually just make things rattle like crazy. The only way to really know what works for your car is to try different things.

sub back, port back. thats how i had my L7's in my boner-ville. the way yours is setup now bounces sound waves every which way, and right back at the sub. face it toward the trunk and the sound waves will bounce off your trunk and past your sub and box and enter the cabin, creating a greater sound inside the cabin. try it, it shall work for you

sorry for the late reply guys havnt been online in a while...I will go ahead and make a new box that fits better this time so I can have sub back port back as said. I knew I was losing some SPL but I didnt know how much, turns out after reading I can lose upto 5 dbs depending. as always thanks for the input guys.

I just cant wait until I make another box... sub back port back and really hear what this thing can do, eventhough I only have the hifonics 1606d to power it(which is enough for the daily driver.) Im guessing now im probably hitting 140-142db's now
