ok, im looking to upgrade my system, right now i have 2 12" MTX thunder 5500s (yeah i know dont laugh its my first set up) and a profile "california" 1200 amp. im thinking one Kicker L7 15", what kind of box would be best with that, i have a large trunk, so space isn't really an issue. should i go with dual 2 ohm or dual 4 ohm? the amp is 600x1 watts bridged or 1200 watts in 1 ohm. im sorry i probobly sound kinda stupid, ive only been into this for about 3 or 4 months, and i dont really know to much, also, i was looking at Refurbished L7's on ebay, i read in other threads that as long as they're factory refurbished they should be fine. what's everyones take on that? thanks alot for any help you can give me.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

with the L7 i would probably do a slot ported box for it, im not sure of the exact tuning probably some where around 30-35hz. if you have an amp that can go 1 ohm stable i would go with a dual 2 ohm voicing coil so you can give the most to the subs that your amp can handle.

ok i though my amp was stable in 1 ohm, but its not, so if i wired a dual 2 ohm speaker in a series to create a 4 ohm load, and then bridged it, would it give 600 watts to each coil, or just 1?
