Kicker L5 10" DVC 2ohm mono amp hook up?

I'm a little lost when it comes to understanding dvc and they are wired. My subwoofer says it is wired at 2ohms...does that mean hooked up to a mono amp it would push 2ohms or four? From what i'm reading it seems like unless you have two 2ohm subs, then one can't be wired, unless you do 1ohm or 4ohm. The mono amps i'm looking at say they are most powerful at 2ohms. How can I wire this signle dvc sub at 2ohms? Or is it not possible?
