kicker kx 700.5 amp question?

I recently got that kicker amp for free from a friend and the protect light comes on and the fan also comes on. I was curious if there was a reacuring problem that kicker amps might have. Oh and all of the wiring is hooked up correctly and well.

You may have to send it into kicker if the protect light comes on and stays on for them to fix it. I dont know a whole lot about there amps but same thing happend to my buddy's zx2500.1.

Haha! I bet. Ive actually been thinking about getting that amp and a couple of the JBLGTI MKII's. Might be over kill for those subs though..still lookin and thinking.
