Kicker Hideaway 11HS8 settings

I just installed this powered sub in my truck today. The owner's manual isn't very specific as to where they suggest the dials/settings to be.

This is what I have it set at right now:

Phase - 0

Bass Boost - OFF and it will stay that way

Crossover Frequency - 120/MAX

Gain - about 8/11

Remote bass control - MAX, this works with the master volume on Pioneer HU anyway.

Is this pretty close to where it should be? My main concerns are the x-over frequency and gain settings.

Yes, the LPF (Low Pass Filter) is the x-over setting. The lower the number, the lower the frequency filtered. So if you just want low bass going through it, set it to 80 or lower. If you want more frequencies to go through it (low keyboards or guitar), set it to a higher number like 120. I think 80 is the sweet spot for most. Let your door speakers mid-bass handle the 120 and above.
