Kicker CVR or Rockford P3

I got a big check coming to me so I want to get a 12 to put in my old box. I've heard the P3's and they sound pretty good. The CVR's are pretty good subs too though. Which one should I get?

I would go with the rockford. Kicker is over priced, you pay for alot of the name when buying kicker products.

You can buy a CVR for under $100. They are great budget subs. As for the P3, I have no idea. Would you consider a Type R? They are in the same category.

I can get rockford cheaper than kicker products and i think rockford is just built stronger. Kicker is just over priced.

I've had both and my opinion is Kicker hands down. My P3 could barely hang with my power series Punch 360.2. Now as far as the Kickers go I had one 12" CVR, 3 12" CVR's and two 15" CVR's and never once did i have a problem with any of them.

I say kicker. I have used both of them, the P3 would go lower, but can't take power for too long. Kicker takes the power better, and gets more loud of the same power.

i say kicker. but if ur getting a new sub why wont u just get something else beside kicker and rockford

unless theyve changed in the past year...kicker uses plastic voicecoil formers that LOVE to melt!

p3....kicker is garbage for anything above 40hz IMO. i have a RE SE 12 for sale that id get before either of those 120 shipped to your door. ask anyone here if the re isnt the best choice BY FAR

See I'm just basically looking for a extra sub. Even though got enough money and amp to get something more powerful I don't really need anything fancy. I like the sound of the P3's however the CVR's are cheaper but I haven't heard anyone that knows what there doing yet so every time I hear them they sound like shit. I know there good subs but I just want to see what there truly capable of before I buy.

CVR hands down.. Zellner obviously has no clue what he is talking about.. above 40 hertz? (as you raise in frequency its less stress on the equiptment) Kicker hands down.. Best woofer for 400 watts rms you could buy

i had cvr's at one point then i switched over to mtx jh55's and they were louder and sounded better. same price as the cvr too. im an advocate od ac hdc3 now love them. if you wanted to throw 250 for one theyre great subs and if you do it right you can get one sub to get pretty loud and sound good
