Kicker CVR 15" with Audiobahn 1600W Amp

I have an Audiobahn A8002V. Its 1600W max 400W RMS when bridged. Im about to buy a Kicker 15" CVR. It is 500W RMS 1000W Max. I was told when I bought my amp to only use 4ohm or higher impendence so I guess I need the 4ohm 15" and not the 2ohm.

With this amp being a 2 channel only pushing 1 15" should I bridge the amp. The Amp is 1600W Max and Sub is 1000W max so How will I figure out how much to turn the amp down so I do not blow the sub.

How would you wire the 2 voice coils for a 4ohm or higher impendence?

You need a dual 2ohm sub with that amp. Wire one coil to each channel @ 2ohms.
