Kicker amps vs Orion amps....??

They seem to be about the same price per watt. So what does everyone think about which is the better/higher quality amp line?

I had heard 2 12 HP Orion woofers and I was really impressed. Would you go with Kicker woofers also? I planned on going with matching woofers and amps

Im an Orion guy, neither is bad. I'm just a nut for the red HCCAs. (specifically generations 1 thru 3)

Both are reliable amps, my buddy runs the 1200.1 and I run the orion 1200d. I say whichever you get a better deal on.

Since Orion is now DEI owned, I say Kicker

Both companies make solid woofers as well. if you want to match subs and ams i suggest choosing subs first since the amp choice doesnt matter all that much. Ive used almost every kicker woofer at some point, and i have been very impressed with them. I have heard several orion setups as well, never really owned one, but ive heard plenty of H2 setups and i was pretty impressed with those woofers (not sure if they are still called that or if they are still being produced).

Ive owned both, old school Kicker (ZR and later KX series) and Orion (HCCAs and Cobalt) never had am major problem with either. I used a Orion 1200d on 4 12s for about a year and worked perfect never overheated and shut down. My Kicker kx1200d was the same way.

Both make pretty solid amps, even though opinion about Orion varies around here...

imma kicker man but i have heard numerous orion setups and i was impressed by them but i am in love with my ZX1000.1s i know they rated @ 1000 watts @ 2 ohms but first off people run them below 2 ohms and never have problems (im one of them) and 2nd they are very underrated

If the Orion amps were made before they were owned by DEI, you can't go wrong with them. If they are DEI made... then hell no.
