The L7s will get loud, but if SQ is a concern, eliminate them from consideration. They don't sound like complete crap like some claim, but they are definitely an SPL sub. I know, I'm running them.

I have the '05 L7s. They don't sound bad necessarily, but with me coming from a SQ background, they sound far from great to me.
