hey, i have a Kicker ZX1000.1
it does 1000@2ohms X1 / 500@4ohms X1
well i bought 2 12" JL audio W6's and they take 400@4ohms each.
i was told that i could power them fully if i went the 2ohm root, well i go it all professionaly installed and after it was installed the guy told me that its not fully powered, because the subs only run at 4ohms, and he said i would have to buy another amp just like my other for them to be fully powered (1 amp to 1 sub).
Is this guy pullin my leg to get me to buy another amp (i didnt buy it from him nor will i buy it from him (i buy from sonicelectronix.com))???? the place is a kicker and JL distributor so i think they know there stuff
the way they installed it was 1 wire going from the amp to one sub and one wire comin out of that sub and hookin to the next sub (just the basic setup) (and just the regualr jumpers on the sub)
btw W6's are only made on dual 4 ohm setups,
also is there a way i can bridge them down to 2 ohms to give them full power
