Kenwood xcelon DDX-812 opinions

I went to a local shop and they suggested the Kenwood. It has 5 volt preouts and decent bluetooth using Parrot technology. Retail price is $1199 and he said he would sell it to me for $799 plus tax. Is this a good price or does anyone recommend something other for the price.

I am looking for SQ and quality bluetooth. I dont need nav or ipod.

I was just told today by the manager at my local shop(whom I am friends with) that Kenwood is having software issues with the Parrot Bluetooth in their higher end units, and that some of them are being pulled. I didnt get any #'s but thats something to at least look into.

Yikes, can you ask what models or is it the Excelon line? I would hate to buy such an expensive piece of equipment to have it be faulty!
