Kenwood VS Alpine

i currently have the CDE-9881 and am not tooo happy with it i cant even adjust the highs mids lows or nuthing like that....

this Kenwood HU seems decent which one would you prefer?

Kenwood has a lot better sound quality and easier to use. I used to carry Alpine but dont anymore for the same reason u are posting

it does seem like it has ALOT more to it.. hell in the setup mode on the alpine one all thre is is Dimmer, Lcd contrast, Language, Text, NONE OF WHICH HAVE ANYTHING TOO DO WITH SOUND

I'd go with Kenwood. I've always thought alpine decks looked retarded plus they are a pain in the *** to figure out.

I like Kenwoods lower lines better than Alpines... when you get into the higher end stuff, it's a completely different story, though.

Had a kenwood x791 and got an alpine 9887 to go active.

Everyone told me my SQ sounded tons better with the 9887 even when I was still running passive initially.

Did love all the features on the kenwood though and the color screen.
