Kenwood Video Bypass

Dose anyone know how to do the video bypass on a Kenwood DNX6140? Someone told me it ws a simple grounding but I have been looking at countless threads abotu how you need to use a switch or buy a auto rely.

you might need a relay for it not sure though never used that deck

Ya there is very little info on this head unit and the video bypass.

ground the parking break wire, no relay needed

Its as simple as grounding the parking brake wire, I've done it on. A few of these units,

You would have to try to be sure but evry kenwood I've done was thatsimple

yeah ive had to put switches on last few decks ive had.

havent played with kenwood yet tho.

installed my dnx8120 2 weeks ago and it was that easy, just ground the parking brake wire.

light green wire to black wire done. been the same way for at least the last 5 yrs i think my first 911 or 910 was the same.

For sure works on the 7019, so I would bet on it.

Yep all was needed is to ground the wire wow and I though all head units had that new trick system in them. Good to know.
