Getting back into it!
Alrighty,

My friend has 2 12" Kenwood tornado subs and a kenwood 800 watt amp.

He bought it well before I got into Car Audio so if you can refrain from bashing the equipment that would be great.

He has it in his 2004 Dodge Ram under his backseat bench and bought a custom box from aztrucks.com (something like that). I don't know how big it is but its sealed (very large too).

It was thumping pretty hard until somebody in his backseat spilt beer on his amp. He got it replaced but they didnt set the settings for him and we can't get it to hit like it was before.

On the amp... a few of the settings are LPF, off or HPF. Then you can adjust the LPF (if thats what its set on). It has sensitivity and then a knob for Mono.

If any of yall have ideas how what we need to set the settings too please help.

there is bass boost, its just a switch instead of an adjustment like my tantrum.

As i said before... there is an LPF which is the equivalence to a low pass filter...

No "gain" though I'm sure sensitivity comes close to that.

Gain and sensitivity are the same thing, try 2 volt sensitivity see if that sounds OK.

Low Pass/Xover try cutting it off at 70 to 80HZ see if that sounds OK.

Flip on the bass boost switch, it should give 6db gain at 40HZ see if what you think of it.

Set the amp for mono operation if it has a provision for that.

Mostly its trial and error, you just tweak things untill your happy.

Thanks for the help (seriously).

I tried to do the trial and error for him today. We were working on different combo settings for about 30 minutes then threw the towel in.

It punches, just doesnt hit like it used to. I'll let yall know what the problem is when I figure it out!

Haven't checked that yet. We haven't got to the hardcore diagnostics yet. We ran out of sunlight and were hoping that it was something that amp settings could solve.

Will check soon.
