I need to have my Kenwood DDX-7015 serviced.
Problems:
1.) The HU makes an annoying whining noise when it's first turned on and the outside temp is cold. It takes a few minutes then after its turned off then back on the noise is gone.
2.) Sometimes the FM radio doesn't produce any sound upon start up. After a few minutes it magically comes on. If however I adjust the screen position it instantly begins to produce sound.
3.) The CD eject is hanging. The CDs are not being fully ejected. I need to use a knife or something to help the deck spit it out.
The first two problems have been there since I purchased the unit, but since I bought it online i didn't want to hassle with the warranty debate.
My question is, Has anyone used the Kenwood Service Center East or any of the other national service centers? Kenwood directed me to http://www.avsl.net Their website seems a bit hard to navigate and doesn't have me feeling 100% confident sending an $800 unit to them w/o any claim number or any form other than my credit card authorization.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
