i have been looking at 3 of these double din models. they are;

kenwood ddx418

jvc kw-avx740

pioneer avh p3300bt

all 3 have similarities and differences. im leaning towards the kenwood ddx418 but also want security, and the jvc has a detachable face. the pioneer is so-so for me??? i have played with all 3 at my local stereo shop. all 3 for same priced out the door.

let me know what you all think.

thanks in advanced guys......

I have the DDX418. Sitting in a box now, but those were the three I compared when shopping and I chose the Kenwood. Perhaps due to my bias of liking Kenwood the most, but I just like the feel of the Kenwood more. I do, however, like the rear USB option on the JVC as well as the removeable face. I may have considered it if it looked a little nicer.

Im thinking bout the jvc kw-avx840 now since its 7" screen and has all the bells and whistles. What ya think bout that one?
I was looking at that one just recently. For the price, it seems quite nice. I would've picked that up actually, but next time I spend real money on a deck, I'll likely go all out with NAV and such. I don't like having a pretty screen that serves no real functions that my single din couldn't

Well the reason im looking into the kw-avx840 because of the security feature of taking the face off and also both ddx418 and avx840 both can use navi with an iphone app called motion X drive for $10 a year. Much cheaper than double din with navi for around 700 and up.

Im going to look into the avx840 again. Thanks everyone for there input.

I was looking at the pioneer 4300 as well. I dont like it as much because of no bluetooth and still having to bypass the brake with a relay. The quality and sound is there but i feel as pioneer has fell off there game.
