Kenwood KDC-X689 and Alpine MRD-M300 HELP

Ok,

I have a kenwood HU, model KDC-X689, and an Alpine amp, model MRD-M300. When I turn the subs on through the HU, they will play with the tuner but not with a cd/mp3 disk. I have tried toggling the subs on and off while the disk is playing but still nothing.

What would be the cause of this? Is it and amp or hu setting that I am missing? Any help would be great.

Also, if anyone has had much experience with the MRD-M300, or MRD-M500 amps, could you please give me some advice on where to set all the settings. I haven't the slightest idea.

I am not an expert, but I would assume that it is the deck... For some reason it is not sending a signal to the amp when playing a disc. Does the amp light stay on when you switch over to CD?

shot in the dark here....I'm gonna say you have your amp turn on wire connected to the power antenna lead of the deck. swap the amp remote to the blue wire with the white stripe and it should cure your problems.

Just pulled the deck, that looks like the problem. I'll have to wait till tonight to confirm.
