Kenwood HU- Flickering screen issue

Kenwood DNX 5120- I have had it installed about 2 years now and recently the screen has had issues. i perioducally will turn yellowish across the whole screen. almost like a highlighter was ran across the screen. the yellow stays about 2-3 seconds, disappears, then comes back then goes away. it does it off and on whenever it wants to. sometimes staying for a minute, other times a a second.

i have done the update from kenwood and it did not help. any ideas? or do i have to send it to kenwood? thanks
