Kenwood H/U and iPod

I have a Kenwood KDC-MP435U head unit. I have my regular iPod cable connecting my iPod to the USB. I can not browse through my music (genres, playlists, etc), but it only shuffles everything on there. I was wondering if I got the Kenwood cable if it would allow me to browse through my iPod??? Thanks.

Yeah Im pretty sure they have a cable. Though most decks do only a few let you browse through your playlist from the deck. Then only fewer more do a good job at it. Check out Kenwood.com

I have the 532U model and when I looked into iPod cables for it all I could find were ones that controlled the iPod through the headunit and wouldn't let you use the ipod itself. I didn't like this idea since it also did exactly what you mentioned. I bought an aftermarket cable on Ebay for $20 that let's me control everything through the iPod. The actual Kenwood cable won't let you have any control of your playlists and iPod controls, not to mention they want like $60 for it.

I have AUX input, so controlling from the iPod can be done that way. However, I would like to have the USB work where I could atleast select playlists. SPL BLAZER, what kind of cable was it, link please? Thanks.
