I Just got a new car, and it came with one of the Kenwood Full DIN EQ's from the 90's. I think it's a 9044.

My Question is what kind of HU do I need to run with it? I was going to run a Pioneer DEH-9800BT, but it seems kind of pointless to have 3 sets of 5V and all of the audio adjustments on the HU while I'm running it.

I think you've already answered your question. Run the head unit you want and sell the Kenwood EQ. There's no need to double up on equalizers unless you have to have the light show.
