I seriously doubt that head unit is even putting out that kind of power in the first place. To answer you question, I'm sure you could open that thing up and mess up something, but the amp inside the unit is not like an external amp you buy to power your speakers. Dont even ask someone to do something like this b/c you are going to **** up that head unit.

Pick up a small 4 channel amp if you need that power, HU are not ment to be running like you mention. Plus, seriously you will get 12 to 15w at the most of clean power from a HU anyway.

Def not worth it IMO.

it says it rms's that much... I was going to buy a JL 300/2 amp running components up front and have the hu run the back coax speakers.... I cannot afford a 450/4 + 500/1 amp(for the sub) right now unfortunetly //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif Also sorry if this was a stupid thing to ask I just thought sense you can easily bridge channels on an amp maybe you could also on a headunit sorry...

Don't be sorry, good question acutally. People are just giving you some suggestions for getting some real power to those speakers.

It can probably be done, but not without extensive internal work, I'm afraid. Better route would be buying a cheap 2 or 4 channel amp to run those speakers man. Don't be stuck on JL. You can get quality amplifiers for much cheaper, don't be so brand conscious.
