Well... I guess this is just a dumb question or no one really know??

pretty similar 516 is newer model obviously the 512 was about 2 years ago.

the 516 has 3 rca inputs ront rear sub 512 had only 2 front and rear/sub. also the 516 has 2 aux inputs front rear. 512 has only 1 rear.
