Kenwood DDX-514 help please!!!

I had the DDX 514 installed last weekend and I love it. I was reading the manual last night, and it says you can make customizable backgrounds. I'm a graphic artist, so I could do some cool stuff, but I can't figure it out. It says to hook up a USB device, but my installer didn't run the USB cable anywhere. Can I load an image from a CD?
