I hooked up my Kenwood KAC-9102d to a friends system to see how his Type-R sounded. Everything worked fine for a few minutes. We had the system up for a few seconds and the amp cut off, but the triangle light was still on. I thought it went into protect, so we turned the radio off and back on, nothing still. Soon after that the light would come on and eventually die.

So what could be the problem? I didnt see any smoke, and all of the fuses are fine.

do you have a volt meter to see what your voltages are going to you power and remote? also make sure the ground is good. if that is ok then sounds like something wrong with power supply

We didnt have a volt meter at the time, but we hooked his amp back up and it worked. So that makes me think its the power supply. How much are those usually to replace?

if it is the power supply on the amp. it depends on the bad components. now did you say it works now?
It was working fine, then all of the sudden the sub quit working. We turned the radio on and off because I thought the amp went into protect, but that didnt work. After a few tries turning the radio on and off, the l.e.d. would come on and it would eventually die out.
