This post is going to sound really amateur but its what I tried to do is a short amount of time.
Wanted to hook my amp and sub up in my Silverado 1500HD. Buddies at work told me if I wanted to keep my stock stereo, just run a wire from a speaker to the amp, regular positive wire from the battery to the amp, and the ground to a bolt. After about half an hour the light would never come on, the rear speakers still worked(now they do not, but both front speakers still work) and I checked all fuses. So now I'm wondering if the amp is just shot even though the positive and negative connections still bring power to the amp.
Need advice on how to troublshoot or test my amp to see if its still in working condition.
