Kenwood Amp cutting out at higher volume

Kenwood cutting out at high volume.

I have recently installed a Kenwood KDC 248u. Nothing fancy, no external amp, 4 kenwood speakers. When I increase the volume, the unit cuts out, resets, and resumes playing after 20 seconds or so. If the volume has not been decreased, the cycle repeats. Power supply issue? What's happening here?
