alright so my buddy has an KENWOOD KAC-8152 amplifier and he says it keeps burning out the fuses. I'm going there this weekend to check it out but anyone have any ideas? I'm still a newbie so I'm thinking he has shorted the power wire somehow? He says with just the power and ground on the amp nothing happens but as soon as he touches the remote wire it burns out the fuses. He tried running a new remote wire right through the car just in case the old one had shorted out but the fuses keepin going. Could it be internal amp problems or maybe just wiring issues?

My first guess would be wiring issues.....but I wonder something else as well. Did your friend get the amp new or used?
