Kenwood 789 display half screen

My Kenwood 789 head unit's display is compressed to half the screen vertically when I turn it on, but always fixes itself after 10 min. or so. If I leave the display on all the time it never messes up. Its like it has to "warm up". Anyone had similar problem or know of fix?

Humm, does that model have different screens you can select from? What I am refering to is I have the X-990 and you can go into different mode displays. Different display modes produce differents screen displays. It may not be locking in or you may need to put it in memory. I haven't had that problem.
