KDC-x890 vs KDC-x891

WHICH one is better? X890 is last year model (2006) and X891 is the the 2007 model which replaces the X890.

Differences:

X890 has the Active Voice Manger...separate 4 band Parametic EQ for front and rear.

X891 Has USB port to hook up other Mp3 players rather then an IPOD..3 Band Parametic EQ (affect all speakers)

Similar Features:

Both are 5Vs preout, Same screen 64k color.

Does the amount of EQ band matters..does it affect sound qualities?

Prochobo is correct. I would go with x890 because you get more tuning capabilities and it's also a lot cheaper since it's been out for a while.

Yes, the 890 would be a better price. The 891 does have the new screen, which to me seems to be a improvement on what was good in the first place. One thing about a 4 band parametic eq, there are 3 setting within each so really you would have a total of 12 eq adjustments. Youl'll love the sq of either deck. I'm still learning about my new X-990. It's a beauty.

The info that I have been able to find shows both to have the 64-color flourescent display?

Last year you had to step up to the 990 get the 4.096 color OEL display like what came on the XXV-01D in '05. I do not know if this year's KDC-X991 will have it but I will assume at its suggested pricepoint it most likely will.

Does the Kdc-x891 have Time Alignment? Because ive been lookin all around and i havent seen anything about the Time Alignment on this head unit.

The xx1 models have 'enhanced HDD compatibility', and different software which does NOT include the irritating 'Phatnoise' that slows down access.
