Kappa perfects will withstand water better then the mach5 treated paper cone. Both are great options though.

Clarion marine subs are also a good choice.

Great point, with the aluminum cone and rubber surround It'll def withstand more water, but take it as "water proof" Having 2 12" Perfects they sound great and work rather well in a smaller enclosure.

yeh i can only fit a 1 cubic box under the passenenger compartment of my boat so maybe ill go with one perfect.. but one mach 5 in the compartment and another under the stearing column would be bad ***.

Agreed. Go with a non-paper cone for this and the finest mesh screen you can find.
