alright ive got two kenwood kfc-1377 2-way coaxial speakers in my overhead speaker bar in my 1995 jeep wrangler and they are gettin boring. i want a component system that fits 5.25" and i have chosen the pheonix RSDs. I have a 4 ch Kenwood KAC-8452 amplifier sitting in my garage right now and i am wondering if a pair of RSDs will be a good match with this amp. The amp specs are:

70 RMS Watt - 4 Ohm / 4 channel

100 RMS Watt - 2 Ohm / 4 channel

200 RMS Watt - 4 Ohm - / 2 channel

The kac-8452 has a built in crossover, so should i still use the passive crossover included with the RSDs or not? Will these speakers be well powered with this amp? I will also need to mod the overhead speaker bar to fit 2 tweeters. Also how would i wire the speakers to the amp(tweeters, comps) along with the passive crossover if needed?

a little too much power for those comps in my opinion... but just set the gains conservatively. Seen a lot of people giving those comps around 150 watts (myself included) and blowing tweeters. If I were you id just set the gains pretty low and bridge it to 2 channels at 4 ohms.

if you go with an active crossover you'll be fine power wise, my tweets alone are getting about 93 watts crossed over at ~2600 HZ and they have been fine so far... I don't know about passive tho...
