I got one of these from a friend in a deal, when i put power to it, the heat sink on the side gets hot, everything lights up but nothing works, it dont do anything except get hot......

i tore it apart and looked at the motherboard where both the heat sinks attach to and nothing was black, everything looked fine, idk whats up with this thing....anyone have any suggestions as to what the problem is or something i can do to fix it and i dont want any "better find your friend" or "you got suckered" **** because i have seen it work, its just stumping me and i need a second opinion

Just because it physically doesnt look blown doesnt mean its not.

Also check your grounds. Make sure they are solid.

that sounds like a shorted output fet. trash it. it wasn't all that good when it was new , now its just a doorstopper.
