jvc kd-r900 vs kenwood kdc-x794

now im looking at the kenwood x994 or the alpine cda-117. the alpine is 20 dollars more. which unit is better

I'm about to buy the X994.

Cell phone distraction laws are popping up everywhere. I cannot see buying a HU without Bluetooth.

I have not looked at the X794. But the X994 has both a remote and allows an iPod to function in "passenger mode" whereby the passenger gets to control the music. These are must have features for me.

Online stereo shops are selling the X994 for $269. Pretty reasonable as far as I am concerned. They are selling the KIV700 for the same price, but it doesn't have a CD player nor Bluetooth.
