jvc KD-AHD39 pause function?

Is there a pause in some menu screen in this unit. Or is there a way to use the ipod controls instead of the ones on the units face.

Need a pause button to compete and this head unit doesn't seem to have one, hope i just missed it. Any help is greatly appreciated.

i know that my jvc avx1 doesn't have 1. when i did bass race, i hade to push stop, and then play when i was ready. having to time the delay before it started playing was a pia.
