This movie really yanks on the heart-strings too. That scene where Stallone is in jail talking to his kid about child custody.....that's real emotion.

Sure some might call it a movie about arm wrestling, but it's so much more than that! It's a tale of lessons learned in our tough society! It's a story of love between a father and son. Over The Top was a lot better than most of the critics at the time (over a decade ago...) gave it credit for.

The best Rocky flicks were I and II - my preference being I as it was the most realistic to me ~ Rocky lost.

III was just ignorant. Mr T. and Hulk Hogan?!? C'mon, Sly...get it together.

IV was...well, it just was.

I saw in an interview with Stallone about 'The Contender' where he stated that a Rocky VI was in the works. Gee....I can't wait.

over the top was an arm wrestling movie and somehow it involved getting custody of his son........is it really not obvious why it got bad ratings?
