Just traded head units.....

The first audio shop I ever went to when I got stationed here in FL is really starting to show it's ***. The owner seemed pretty cool and knowledgable. Time spent here and around the shop has proved otherwise. It hit me when he said he'd build me a ****** box for the sa-8 (he's never heard of sundown) but I had to bring him all the parts for $200. He gave me a wtf look when I asked for the box to be tuned to 34hz. He wanted to do high 40's. I told him I didn't want a burp box and again, I saw the wtf look. Kinda made me realize that I didn't want this guy to touch any of my equipment and I quit recommending him to people.

Anyways, I noticed he had an alpine cad-9852 layin around and my frontier has a jvc in it from the previous owner. I hate that radio and I am planned on getting a pioneer 2300 or 3300 sometime once I can convince my wife it's needed. I asked him if he'd be willing to trade my jvc for the alpine and he said he would. Didn't hesitate or anything, pretty much jumped at the chance. He later told me that he was no longer going to carry alpine/pioneer because they were **** brands and he was transferring over to jvc/sony only. So I pulled my radio ad we traded.

The jvc I had only had one set of rca and the alpine has three. Big improvement there.

Main reason I HATED the jvc, I didn't have any control on EQ but on the alpine I almost have too many. lol It's awesome.

I know the alpine is old but I needed to vent and i'm still pretty excited that I got an alpine for a jvc.

There's a place here in Tulsa like that. I won't give a name cause I kind of like guy but he really shouldn't own a car audio shop. I went in there and I was going to get my wife a couple Infinity Ref. 12's. The new cheap ones with the silver face. Anyway, the guy asked me what I ran. I showed him my Focal Polyglass 13's. He looked at them weird. Never seen em' before.... Wow! I know they're not Kicker Comps but they're not that far out there ya know? Lol! Anyway, nice trade and good luck finding a cable. I think they sell em' on Ebay.
