Ive got two HDC10's that i just threw in the car. They sound pretty nice at low listening level. Sound decently punchy as well. Ive only listened to them for a half hour now. Just wondering how long you guys broke them in for.

Btw, im only giving them about 1K each as of now.

i emailed dj and he said we would REALLY reccomend 8-10 hours of break in time. if this isnt done, there is a chance the woofers will have a rattle-like sound. i broke mine in for about 10 hours and i wang on it now with no problems.

Yea, i was planning on it. Just hoping there was a way out //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif I wanna wang on it too

Although I don't recommend treating them like I do.... I was burping mine within 24hrs of putting them in and have had no issues. LOL If you want to help break them in faster find a tone cd and let a 40 hz tone run on repeat for 30 min or so at low levels not moving more than a .25 in. That's pretty much all I do.

Lol, nice. Yea im thinking ill do a solid 6hours. But thats my thought now. Wait till i get in the car again:(.

You threw them in? I bet they can do some serious damage like that.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

I only broke mine in for like 3-4 hours, and I had no problems what so ever.

Just beat on em, you'll be fine..

how i break in subs is open the box, install, power up, then burp, f it. shouldnt have a prob burping brand new. the suspention is stiff yes but they will get a little louder when loosened up...

alum, or copper coils? alum coils are american made, better glue, ect ect, and he said needs no break in.. So depends what you have.
Yes the aluminum are american made, but the spider pack is waaayyy dif and if you have 6 or more stiff spiders in ea. they will have to be broke in. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Alums do not have to be broken in, per djs own words....

You are correct sir.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif The difference being 8 xtra stiff spiders which is what I run. I have Aluminum recones from DJ with a retarded stiff suspension. They will take the better part of a month or more to break in.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I just got off the phone with DJ and he says your correct. He also states that if your a nut job like me the subs will need a break in period to be able to take 5k+//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
