I know i've seen a few that have joked about blacks w/out coming off as racist. White people joke about white people and black people joke about black people too, either way it's always jokes about the same stereotyped acts that blacks and whites do.

If you're tryin to say he should be free to say whatever he pleases and wanna stick to "freedom of speech" crap, i'd have to disagree. Sure, you should be able to speak your mind, but to an extent as to not insult others, cause conflict, etc. If freedom of speech was so free, why don't they use the F word and other vulgar words on television or the radio? You need to have some sort of regulation.

yes the forum has rules but you were talking about rules and regulations in real life that have to do with being able to say what you want.
the rules of the forum are just there to try to keep everyone happy and ***** free.

because much like the people we complain about that want to stop car audio because it bothers the old folks, members here will pull a hypocritical move and say to not say certain things and get rid of people that use them, because it bothers them

And about the whole comedic thing, there's a fine line between using race as an act to make everyone laugh and just using it to insult and degrade people. Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock aren't racist when they're doing serious interviews or anything like that, with Michael Richards you could see that it was straight from the heart and there was nothing funny about what he did. Well it was funny to me but I'm sure to black people it passed that line between comedy and racism.

Also, with Carlos Mencia, he's made fun of pretty much every race, I don't see him as a racist and people of the race that he makes fun of even laugh. His intent is to entertain, and people know that, but if you go out being racist and you're not doing so with the intent of entertainaing and people knowing, such as being a comedian, then you're in for an *** whoopin'.

thats the issue. its censorship. thats already been established a long time ago.

if you dont like the channel...change it. you think im the only one out there that wants pure freedom of speech on tv? and you think your the only one out there that agrees with broadcast censorship? no

we would both have a decent amount of channels we could watch to satisfy our wants. so whats the big deal.
