So, I've had a Kenwood x790 for awhile and I've enjoyed it but I wanted better iPod integration. I put in the Alpine 9856 yesterday and I noticed that there aren't any high or low pass filters which really disappoints me because my speakers are receiving way too much bass and sounding like crap. Am I missing these tuning options on the unit or not? Should I just buy a cheap EQ to help? I guess I'm just going to save up and buy the 9885 when I have the money. What a bummer.

Is there an a.sel button ? The HPF and LPF may be in there, also try hitting the knob and see if that allows you to scroll to a hp or lp filter setting.
