just picked up some cerwin vegas

model spl-12. picked them up from craigslist. she was asking 150 to begin with then 100. ended up getting the set for $60. sound is very clean and clear with tv sound. really havent put any bass through them, but im sure they will do ok on that too.. ive been rocking an old pair of fisher studio standard 15s for like 10 years, they will be retired now for sure. i cant find any info on them at all online through google searches and what not if you know anything about them let me know or send me a link.

Party speakers.

Just about every pair of Cerwins I've heard, including the 4 that I own, get loud and clear on rap, with just about no midbass. Lots of bass from the woofer though, crisp and clear highs. Pretty much the only problems are the foam surrounds rotting, i just re-foamed one of my sets last summer, they said 1989 on the back of the magnets.

If someone just wanted some "party speakers" I see no problem with $60, in fact thats good. You can't build similar party speakers for any less.

yeah im older and married now with a baby, im not gonna be havin any parties anytime soon. i still like some bass and clear sound though. and if you wouldnt buy them for 60 thats cool, i think they were well worth it and an improvement over what i had.
