Just picked up a couple of older Arc amps - install & amp guts thread

so long story short i'd been trying to buy these same amps from a few people via a few different avenues and at different price points. As well as condition they're in

these are the worse for wear out of them all and at least from the internal marking are circa 2002'ish

they are as follows:

ARC Audio 2500-XXK

ARC Audio 4150-XXK

Seems they were sold in pairs alot...

don't know mechanical condition just yet - just was told they're fully functional and working

i'd personally rate them a 5/10 on cosmetic but i'm a picky S.O.B.

I just got my CDT COX-622's installed in the front and they NEED moar Power then the stock bose amp pushes out

Didn't install my new kappa 6x9's as they're 2ohm and i'm not risking pushing that amp with that load

Hopefully I'll get the 2500 xxk installed today/tomorrow and will update on working order

You will love those amps, I've had 3 different xxk's and I'm down to my last..my 4150xxk will never leave me

just got the 2500 xxk installed before the sun went down

have my re se-xxx setup and getting power from 1 channel at a 2ohm load - impressed that its only half the power it puts out and the sound is clean as well

anyone know off hand if these will handle the NON mfg rated 2ohm mono load? not looking to kill the amp

hope to have the 4150 installed this weekend as well as the kappa 6x9's

They're solid amps but I wouldn't risk running that @2 ohms bridged..just my opinion. Might wanna wait for someone else to chime in before you try
