Clarion DPX11500

was in the car audio store today and found this nice deal for this clarion dpx11500 for $400 originaly worth $700.... cant remember if it was 4 or 3 bills... this amp is long and freaking big and looks like it took a 0 or 2 gauge power wire.. was thinking of upgrading to this from my premier prs d3000 to run my 2 type rs.. what you guys think? is this a nice deal? from what i read this product was made in 2006... im getting a tuned box made for me soon at 32hz or what tuneage should i go

No it isnt. The DPX11500 is a good bit louder than the DPX11551.

No it isnt. The DPX11500 is a good bit louder than the DPX11551.

Is it really? My bad then. the 11551 was such a bada** amp for the money though when it was on sale for $180 from crutchfield.

I'm running the DPX11500 to my 2 Alpine Type R12s dual input 2 ohm and it pounds hard. I haven't updated my alternator or battery and I haven't had any problems other than my headlights dimming when the bass hits. I guess some people would say that is a problem, lol. But yes this amp runs type Rs no problem and sounds awesome. I haven't noticed the amp heat up at all either.
