I'm not a big fan of the STS kits, too much turbo lag especially when you get one of their upgraded turbos. I've been in many Camaro cars with STS kits and a few GTO's with STS's and none of them have impressed me. The only one was a GTO with a Katech 427, custom cam, AFR 225 heads, 200 shot direct port nitrous and the STS kit.

Depending on how long it takes to get your vehicle up and running it might be cheaper to just buy a beater that gets good mileage instead of rent a car. Then you'd have that if you were taking long trips or if the vehicle ever took a shit on you again.
