Well either my ***** or converter is dying. I'm guess the convter... but I could be wrong. The car has had a "clunk" in it for awhile now. Though only at low speeds, usually in revers and when turning. It's been happening for awhile but has never acted up. Well tonight it for no reason down shifted into 3rd from overdrive, so I took the next right and it got stuck in 2nd. It will shift in 3rd after like 60MPH and overdrive if you drive it long enough. Either way this is just my luck... I hate vehicles.

The ***** is a stage 5 built by a local shop that does great work on *****. The converter is a custom EDGE 3600 nitrous converter. Maybe one 10lb bottle has been though them

1st, 3rd and 4th are gone... which is odd. Anyways the car is being taken care of, it's at the shop that built the *****. He is going to start on it tomorrow or the next day and hopefully get it back Fri or Sat. Also he believes some teeth have been broke. I think it's due just to when it was built something was over looked/missed. If the car is making too much power for the strongest 4L65e ***** I can get then... well ****. It'll take a lot of money to get a TH350 with a gear vendors overdrive system in the car.

Actually I don't beat the crap out of the car like most think. Which is why I'm so confused on why what happened did. Sean just must have over looked or missed something when he was rebuilding it.

It's just the ***** from what we know, it is now doing the clunking and jerking all the time since I lost my other gears, not just in reverse or at low speeds. We will find out for sure when it's fixed. The rear ends on these cars are stout and have been proven to go mid 10's with 1.5 60's with no issues (at least the autos can, M6's... meh).

Well **** the ***** is fine, looks just as good as new inside. The torque converter took a dump, which is even worse. For the reason now I have to send back the TC to be rebuilt, pay for the rebuild if it's not a factory defect, pay the shop labor on the work on the ***** and pay for the few parts we are replacing on the ***** just to be 100% safe. On top of that I gotta pay to rent a vechicle till the car is done.

Bummer, I just had my 4r70w re-built to handle some power. =).

I'd throw a modded 6L-80e (I think thats what its called.)

The ***** is fine and should be good for 750HP. It's the torque converter went out, which is weird since I have never heard anything bad about EDGE Racing TC's and even the guy that built my ***** highly suggest that I just had this one rebuilt instead of going with a different brand. This is the first one he has ever seen go bad and he was puzzled by it.

The 6L80e would be nice since it is a 6 speed auto, though there is no way it would work with my car and even if it could without it being built to handle more power it wouldn't last long.

We won't know for sure why it failed till they rebuild it. Heat should not have been an issue, my guess is factory defect since I have never heard of one of these going bad.

Ah... well.

I'm still saving up for mine. I'd like to get it after graduation. I'm looking into STS kits. Not sure which way to go.

I have a hookup at GM performance so I may be seeing a LSX crate in the futue also. Not 100% though.
