I live in Michigan. If I see a spider or any other kind of bug close to when I'm going to sleep, I can't sleep the rest of the night. A couple of weeks ago I saw what appeared to be a harmless tiny little spider crawling on the wall by my computer. I was too afraid to kill it with anything because it was really fast and I was afraid it was gonna jump on me. It was a half hour before I got up the courage to go on the computer again after it disappeared. For some reason, bugs are the only things that bother me. A snake in my bed at night wouldn't bother me in the least, neither would a bat flying around my room.
It's something to do with spiders being silent, small, and having creepy legs. Bugs in general creep me the hell out. If any bug ever crawls on my body while I'm asleep and I wake up, I'll probably just have a heart attack on the spot.
