Just how good is a "locked" trunk release button?

That is the question. The one inside the car. Just wondering if they actually work. And if they do i'm sure all the locks on them are the same from model to model and even maybe yr to yr. They all seem kinda flimsy to be honest.

Ok, so anyone w/ exp know just how well the locked trunk release buttons in the car work at keeping valubles in ur trunk safe?

lol, yea. Edited my post to get rid of some confusion. I was reffering to the inside locked trunk popper..

i'm trying to come up with new ways to secure my trunk..What i have in place now works perfectly but if my trunk popper fails im fu cked as i fabricated a metal bracket so you cant turn the key in the trunk lock. It'll jam it..But i'm not willing to take the risk if it fails..No way i'm cutting out my backseat to fix the latch if it breaks. So ima try a new stealth trunk lock cover so incase of a emergency i can remove it and open it w/ the key.

Ok.

What vehicle is this? Because if it is an older chevy, the truck switch lock-out in the glove box just kills the power to the switch relay.

You can still open the trunk w/ a key.
