System worked fine.

Turned the truck off and cranked it back up. The door components began to static and the subwoofers stopped playing momentarily over and over after performing just fine beforehand. Finally the system stop altogether, I parked the truck and investigated. The amplifiers were showing 12v's on the DMM, so there was no kink in the circuit and the CD player was playing just fine. So I did the remote wire test which basically means I took a slack strand of wire and hooked one end to the 12v port on the amp and the other end on the REM port. The Hifonics amplifier came on so I repeated the procedure on the Profile amplifier with no response from it.

So I decided that the remote wire was perhaps disconnected behind the HU, but that wouldn't explain why the Profile amplifier refused to come on. So I took the HU out and cut through the layers of electrical tape that covered the assortment of unorganized wires. See because of the Kenwood HU's awesome ability of not having a designated remote wire, I had to wire the remote wire into the 12v red wire.

Aha! I thought as I found that the red wires and remote wires were disconnected...but wouldn't that cause the HU to not come on? Once again it gets even more weird. So I reconnected the wires, intertwined the wires and intertwined the remote wire into the two intertwined wires and cranked the truck up again.....now there was no display or response from HU no the amplifiers or anything so I took the wiring harness and the HU wiring harness out completely and reorganized the wires, made sure the main wires(GND, 12+(red), dimmer(yellow), and some random orange wire) were connected properly and that all other useless wires were bundles and electrical taped to not get in the way.

So I put the wiring harness and the HU connector back in and cranked the truck up again, still no signal.

Well, replaced the fuse and that fixed the HU not coming on issue, but for some reason even though the remote wire is making clear contact with the red 12v+ wire, it seems to be sending a negative charge from through the remote wire to the amplifier.

I tested it with a DMM and it showed that the remote wire and power wire were showing a 12v rating while the remote wire and the ground wire shown a 0v rating.

Now what exactly do you mean by a negatice charge in the +12v?

Are you sure the kenwood doesnt have a remote wire? Even a junk JVC i have laying around has a remote turn on. IIRC its blue with a white strip.

If you have to connect the rem. on the amp to the batt and wire up a switch and use it to turn on your amps.
